Management Plans

A Forest Management Plan contains a map of the property and the different timber types, the different species in the timber type, the age range of the trees and a concise plan for managing and growing a timber stand to maturity.

The Plan includes when to Harvest,  the method of harvesting the timber and the plan for regenerating the trees after the harvest.   It also is written to protect the environmental aspects of the land, promote wildlife and recreational uses of the land.

Management plans are required to obtain Present Use Tax Value to lower/defer property taxes.
